Sheila

This is for you Sheila, to remind you that there's life outside of the crappy world of work. To let you know that despite what they say, David, Dale, Patrick, Karen and many more are not the most important people in the world. For every conceited person there's a hundred more that love you.

To tell you that I think you're a fantastic mom, to beautiful children, with huge personalities.

To let you know that you've been there for me thru some of the hardest and some of the best times of my life.

(Don't you remember how scared I was to go down that Alpine Slide? You were right there beside me)
Without you, my kids would be naked, and my life not as full.
So, here's to you Sheila, I love you and I hope you have a fantastic day!

  4. If it is, then call me a fool -- I've been called worse -- because I SOOOOOOO needed this today! Nothing bad, just a really long and exhausting week and I'll be up ALL night doing time entry. *sigh*

I was pulling up your blog just before I left the office but I was interrupted and then had to run to catch my flight home. Thank goodness the Holy Spirit was looking out for me because I would have been bawling in front of a few of my least favorite people in the world, maybe the universe.

You know the saying, "God works in mysterious ways"? Well . . . thank goodness Ned convinced Stan to look past the crusty exterior and marry you anyway, so that he would someday feel obligated to use his power to get you a job at a big law firm, so that you could pretend you got the job because of your degree in marriage and family planning and not just because you have a cool last name, so that you could convince a poor and unsuspecting associate that it would be a good idea to start her family (who does that?), so that you could be pregnant together and then leave her, so you could follow your husband's dream of becoming a cosmetologist, so that she could have best friends and sisters strewn about the country. If that's not mysterious, then I don't know what is. Not in my wildest dreams could I have imagined a journey like this, but I wouldn't change a thing and I wouldn't want to have co-piloted it with anyone else. I am so blessed to have you in my life. I love you so much; I just wish you lived closer.

p.s. I forgive you for never calling me or answering my calls, and your kind words *almost* make up for the fact that you strategically chose all the pictures where you look hot. ;)

  5. Ri, you're pretty much the most awesome person I know. ;-)

Andrea, you're pretty amazing yourself, my friend!

  6. BTW: I was trying to figure out how pregnant I am in that last picture and I realized, some people will do anything to try to keep their best friend's kids from having to eat eggs off the ground. I don't know what it takes to get a family planning degree from BYU, but that is your true calling. Perhaps you could turn THAT into a motivational speech series....

  7. Kristen says - Not to be left out I totally love Sheila too. She is as true a Johnson sister as we could ever hope for (and she has gorgeous skin).

  8. Awe Kristen, I love you, too. I guess the reason I had to wait SOOOOOO long to have sisters is because He was picking just the right ones for me.

Kristen, you totally need to use the computer for things besides taxes and budgets, like blogging. I know, not quite the same turn on, but still fun in different ways. ;-) BTW: how was the sherpa experience???

  10. No Anna. You won't. Simply because DeNae doesn't ever update her blog. Only, this time I'm secretly hoping/praying she doesn't. I don't know how I'll feel about her blog when I'm no longer on the front page. ;-) I love you, too! And, I'm so happy you're blogging again . . . at least this week. We'll see how long you last. LOL!
